Much like how stars take a while to form, the second piece to the Deep Space Collection has taken its time… This dramatic domed rose cut Smoky Quartz sits in the center of radiating gold & diamonds similar to its sister piece- The Carina Pendant. While from a distance the stone appears dark & mysterious, once it captures light the facets activate in a rippling pool of wonder.
With a deep pavilion the culet nearly touches the heart of the wearer, as the Red Spider Nebula is located at the heart of the Milky Way, grounding you to center.
“The Red Spider Nebula (NGC 6537) is a “butterfly” or bipolar (two-lobed) planetary nebula located near the heart of the Milky Way, in the northwest of the Sagittarius constellation. Huge waves are sculpted in this two-lobed nebula some 3000 light-years away in the constellation of Sagittarius. This warm planetary nebula harbours one of the hottest stars known and its powerful stellar winds generate waves 100 billion kilometers high.”
